While we have patterns for many popular boat makes and models already on file, customers wishing to take their SeaDek project into their own hands always have the option of creating templates and working directly with our Customer Advocate Team here at the factory.
This route is straightforward, easy, and perfect for the boater who prefers to work on their boat themselves, yielding a custom kit with the same fit and finish one would receive from a SeaDek Certified Fabricator or Installer.
The process begins with ordering a Template Kit, which includes mylar templating material, a marker, and design forms. Once templates of the areas to be covered are made and sent back to us, we scan them in and a CAD designer will design a custom SeaDek kit based on the provided information (colors, thickness, patterns, etc.). At this point, revisions can be made, and the customer may choose to order a dry-fit of the kit to test the fit. When the drawing is approved, we cut the custom kit and ship it out for installation.
This has been a busy season for custom projects, and we have received some great photos from customers who designed their own Deks! Check out their solid templating work!
