We are proud to supply 11th Hour Racing with Genuine SeaDek non-skid, and this summer outfitted their newest IMOCA 60 with custom SeaDek throughout the cockpit and cabin. After updating the yacht in Concarneau, France, the team just made a transatlantic crossing and landed in Newport, Rhode Island, which will serve as their base as they prepare for The Ocean Race in 2022/23.
The IMOCA 60 is built for performance and can be downright uncomfortable during long, rough passages, but upon landing in Newport, the team reported that their SeaDek kit was one of the highlights of the trip, providing cushion and comfort for the crew when they needed it most.
Check out these photos of the crossing; this is not your grandfather’s sailing!
