Backcountry Purple Heart / Disabled Veterans Slam IV

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc did it again! Partnering with the Herman Lucerne Memorial Foundation and in cooperation with the U.S. Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment and Vantage Point Foundation, the “Backcountry Purple Heart / Disabled Veterans Slam IV” helped raise funds for wounded/disabled veterans, in order to assist in their medial recovery and rehabilitation.

The event took place August 12-14 2019 in the Florida Bay in the Everglades National Park. SeaDek was proud to help sponsor their efforts for the 4th year in a row.

This year 30 wounded and disabled veterans came to Islamorada and Everglades National Park to heal with comrades. They were paired with expert fishing guides who donated their expertise and valuable time to those who risked their lives for our country.
