The third annual Fishing for Soldiers fishing tournament took place recently on Ft. Loudon Lake in Tennessee, and the charitable organization was able to raise valuable funds to support both the Wounded Warrior Project and Smokey Mountain Service Dogs.
With over 80 boats and 47 anglers in the kayak division, the event was the biggest in its history, and excited competitors vied for over $20,000 in prizes and giveaways. SeaDek was a proud sponsor, and also contributed a custom SeaDek kit for the first prize in the kayak division—a fully customized Jackson Coosa HD!
Smokey Mountain Service Dogs believes that through appropriate utilization of a public access tested/approved, highly trained service dog, individuals with physical and/or psychological disabilities can often become increasingly self-sufficient and independent.
