Thanks in part to our friends at Captains for Clean Water, big progress is being made on the EAA reservoir, which will help divert harmful discharges from Lake Okeechobee to the St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee rivers. While plans to address the devastating discharges have been debated for years, it was public efforts from groups like Captains for Clean Water that spurred action from our lawmakers to put these vital plans into action.

While it has been the work of countless environmentally conscious people that passionately care about the future of Florida’s waterways, we are continually proud of our friends Daniel Andrews and Chris Wittman of Captains for Clean Water for their tireless efforts to move the needle forward in the fight for clean water.
